Purpose: Increase insight into unconscious self-talk
Instructions:
Set aside five quiet minutes. Answer the following questions honestly, without editing:
Key Principle:
Awareness precedes choice. You cannot change what you cannot hear.
Purpose: Identify rigid identity statements that block change
Instructions:
Notice when you use absolute language about yourself this week:
Write down three statements you catch yourself saying. Do not reframe them yet.
Key Principle:
Identity statements feel factual—but they are often learned conclusions, not truths.
Purpose: Reduce reinforcement of outdated self-concepts
Instructions:
For one day, pause before consuming:
Ask yourself silently:
“Does this reinforce who I’ve been—or who I’m becoming?”
You do not need to eliminate anything today. Just notice the emotional impact.
Key Principle:
What you repeatedly consume trains your nervous system and self-image.
Purpose: Build nonjudgmental self-awareness
Instructions:
Choose one behavior today—eating, scrolling, reacting, or thinking.
Observe it as if you were a researcher, not a critic.
Replace judgment with neutral language:
Key Principle:
Neutral observation lowers defensiveness and increases capacity for change.
Purpose: Anchor insight without pressure
At the end of the day, complete this sentence in writing or thought:
“Today, I noticed that the story I tell myself about change is…”
Stop there. No fixing. No action plan.
Key Principle:
Clarity, not correction, is today’s goal.
